10–11 June 2025 | Pisa

The DAEDALUS project officially kicked off with a two-day meeting held in Pisa, Italy, gathering all consortium partners and the Project Officer from the European Commission. The event marked the formal launch of a four-year European research initiative focused on developing minimally invasive therapies for colorectal diseases using smart, responsive 4D biomaterials.

The Kick-off Meeting was an opportunity for all partners to meet in person, present their contributions, and align on the scientific and operational roadmap. The agenda included the presentation of all project Work Packages, technical and clinical discussions on biomaterials, endoscopy, and drug delivery and the overview of communication, dissemination, and exploitation strategies.

The meeting also served to reinforce the collaborative spirit of the consortium, composed of 13 partners from 7 European countries.
