7–11 September 2025 | Turin

The DAEDALUS project was officially presented at the 34th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB 2025), held in Turin, Italy, from 7–11 September at the Lingotto Conference Center.

During the joint session “Forging ESB and TERMIS Synergies: Pioneering Innovation for the Future of Healthcare”, Prof. Giovanni Vozzi from the University of Pisa, introduced the project with a presentation entitled “Advanced 4D biomaterials for mucosa and submucosa treatment in patients affected by colorectal diseases.”

His talk outlined the project’s scientific approach, showing how advanced endoscopic tools can contribute to less invasive and more effective treatments for colorectal diseases such as ulcerative colitis and familial adenomatous polyposis. By combining materials science, tissue engineering, and medical innovation, DAEDALUS aims to reduce complications, improve recovery, and enhance patients’ quality of life.

Participation in ESB 2025 also provided an important opportunity to engage with the scientific community, reinforcing synergies with both TERMIS and ESB. Building these connections is crucial to advancing innovation and supporting the future translation of DAEDALUS results into clinical practice.
